Great Lakes Builders, Inc. and David L. Jacobson & Assoc. LTD. Co-develop Structural Training Course for Inspectors
Great Lakes Builders, Inc. and Structural Engineer firm, David L. Jacobson & Associates, LTD. have co-developed an educational course called “Understanding Structural Issues” that has been developed specifically for educating licensed residential and commercial inspectors on structural issues. Upon the completion of the course, inspectors will increase their knowledge of the structural elements that make up residential and commercial structures, the means, methods and tools used during the inspection process and the “Tell Tale” signs of potential structural issues and problems. This educational course has been accredited by the State of Illinois in coordination with and approval of the Great Lakes Chapter of ASHI whereby inspectors that attend the course and pass a written exam receive 3 credit hours towards their training requirements.
Great Lakes Builders, Inc. is pleased with the positive response expressed by the Great Lakes Chapter of ASHI and their members following the delivery of our course “Understanding Structural Issues”. Since the first presentation of the course, we have had numerous requests for additional presentations and will continue to expand and develop the course to keep it current and relevant”, said Martin Lewandowski, President of Great Lakes Builders, Inc., co-developer and presenter of the course.
